SLE Camp!!

Woohoo!! I'm back from SLE camp!!

Just came back from SLE camp yesterday.. Didnt had the time to blog abt it yesterday cos I went to play soccer, so shall blog abt it today.. Haha..

FIRST DAY..

Everyone looked kinda serious cos we didnt know each other well I guess.. Haha.. I found out that I was the only one in my class to be in Grp 1.. But luckily there was Shukri.. Well honestly speaking, I was kinda reluctant to go to the camp cos I'm a bit homesick.. Haha... Now my dirty lil secret is out! Hahaha.. Back to day 1, it all started with the ice breaker games.. Many people find this quite boring but not me.. I took this oppotunity to know more abt my group-mates whom I'll be together with for the next 3 days.. Chey..

And we went to the Bartley campus.. Its my first time ever going there and I was kinda surprised to look at the building. Cos it didnt quite look like a school to me( no offence ok??) Hehehe.. But anyways we are all going to merge next year and move to a whole new campus.. =)

Anyways, having reach there we played team building games.. I was feeling uninterested in the games played cos it all required critical thinking.. And I wasnt in the mood to think that day cos I had a late night the previous night.. Hahaha.. I'm sorry guys cos I wasnt able to contribute much during the first day.. The worst part was I had rashes at night time.. Wth man.. It was quite severe lah.. It went right up to my face.. Quite disgusting lah.. Thats the reason why I didnt went for my supper.. I was lying down in the dorm the whole time.. The feeling sux lah please!! I hate it!! Oh ya, luckily all the boys were in the same dorm.. And Amal brought his cousin's mp4.. At least there's something interesting to wactch there.. Ehem!

As I've mentioned earlier, I'm a light slepper.. And its really difficult to sleep there on the 1st day.. With the airplanes flying right above our heads and Fitri and Syahid having a snoring competition, its really difficult to sleep.. Hahaha..

SECOND DAY ..

My rashes magically disappeared.. Hahaha.. Woke up early in the morning to shower.. I was kinda surprised that bathing at 5 am in the morning wasnt such so cold.. Hahaha.. No water heater mind you!! Hmm.. 2nd day's activities were much more fun except for the morning exercise.. Haha.. U call stretching morning exercise?? So much for thinking that we're gonna run or something.. Haha.. But it was gd lah actually.. Didnt kena tekan by the teachers.. Haha..

We started out with the high rope challenges.. Well, as one of the objectives of the camp was to challenge our own limits, we had to be courageous enough to climb up high with our partner and walk on the thin cable.. I gotta be honest.. Damn! I was so afraid when I wanted to take the first step.. Of course I had to put on a brave face and act normally.. Hehehe.. Me and Eddie managed to complete the challenge.. Unfortunately, Shukri didnt had the chance to try this due to time constraint..

Next was walking on the log up high with our eyes blind-folded.. This wasnt so scary cos we cant look down due to the blind fold.. It was a waste that we didnt get to try the 'Jumping thingy'.. I dunnoe what is it called.. Haha.. Only Shukri managed to try it.. But he didnt get to hold onto the trapeze.. Maybe cos it was too slippery..

Then we went rock climbing.. The last time I went rock climbing was during my sec 3 camp.. And I didnt get to go all the way up cos I was abit scared of heights that time.. Well this time I managed to go all the way up.. Hahaha.. Very fun lah.. We even get to become the billay.( is this the correct spelling?)

Next was abseiling.. Just like the ones in the movies, Mission Impossible where Tom Cruise walks down a tall building.. To think that it was quite easy, it actually wasnt.. It was quite difficult to maintain the L-shape position.. And I hate the fcuking guy instructor.. Kept scolding me cos I didnt know how to do this and that.. Luckily I was in a good mood that day.. Or i would have talked back to him.. Asshole!!

Next was the rafting.. This was the most fun part for me.. =) Eventhough I cant swim I felt that it was very fun.. We had a hard time to decide how to construct a raft.. Grp 3 were almost ready with their raft but we were still thinking .. Very funny lah we all.. In the end we constructed a simple raft that won us the race.. Hahaha.. Well I was really scared at first cos I had to sit on the outside part of the tyre and I had to paddle.. Haha.. But luckily Tiffany was sitting beside me and holding me.. =) She's a swimmer okay?? Dun Play play.. Hahaha.. Thx for saving my life!! Hehehe..

Then comes kayaking.. By this time my grp members were aldy laughing at me cos I can't swim.. Haha.. Quite embarrasing lah that I cant swim.. Even the instructor was surprise that I coulndt swim..

Intructor: Who cant swim raise up ur hand..
Me: *Raises hand*
Instructor:( looks surprise while pointing at me) U can't swim?!
Me: *blushes*

Luckily I was in the 3 people kayak where both of my partners, Allyssa and Hui Ping were both swimmers.. So I had to depend on them.. It was damn funny lah cos everyone was very far away aldy when we only started to paddle.. Halfway during kayaking, it started to drizzle.. So we were instructed to paddle to the shore.. No surprise that my kayak was the last to reach the shore.. Hahaha.. Luckily we reached the shore first before it started to rain heavily.. And we were told to carry all the kayaks back to the shelter.. This was the fun part.. Everyone participated actively.. Eventhough it was raining very heavily it was very fun to help out to carry those kayaks..

We then washed up to prepare fot the campfire.. Seriously speaking, the campfire was really unsuccessful.. Our teachers werent able to involve everyone to sing the campfire songs.. But I guess they've tried hard enuf lah.. Unlike the instructors who were very energetic and leading us with the campfire songs.. We had to prepare an item for the campfire and my grp did a skit.. I had to act as Yusof Ishak Jr.. Hahaha.. Damn funny lah.. After that we washed up and went to sleep.. Surprisingly I had no problem sleeping.. Haha.. Maybe cos I was too tired..

THIRD DAY..

This was the most boring day, cos we had to clean up the place.. Luckily we didnt have to cleanup the toilets that were choking.. Unfortunately for the half of my grp they had to clean the toilet cos they were wearing slippers.. Of cos I helped them out a bit after I finished with my sweeping.. Then prize-giving presentation.. Then photo-taking session.. Then going home time.. Planned to take the bus to go to Tanah Merah with Amal and the rest but in the end took the bus to Toh Tuck cos I was too busy taking pictures with my grp.. Hehehe.. Once in a while see my grpmates mah.. Of course must take pictures lah.. =) Help to carry the logistics back to Toh Tuck campus and went home happily.. Hehe..

But I gotta admit overall the camp was quite fun.. Cos I made quite a lot of new friends, especially from Bartley campus.. Well, next year, there's no more Toh Tuck campus and Bartley campus.. We will all be known as ONE Millennia Institute.. I beleive the merger will be a success and we will be able to settle our differences and live as one.. Chey.. Hahaha..
